Hannah Zimmerman, PsyD

Personalized Therapy for Professionals, High Achievers, and Those Seeking Lasting Change
Under the supervision of Kylie Kolb, LMFT (CA License #104699)

Welcome

You’ve worked hard to create a successful life—but even the most accomplished individuals reach moments where clarity, peace, or purpose feel just out of reach.

I’m Dr. Hannah Zimmerman, a clinical therapist with a deep passion for helping adults reconnect with what matters most—whether that means healing from trauma, quieting the inner critic, or simply finding room to breathe. I’ve been providing supervised psychotherapy since 2018 and bring a grounded, integrative approach to the therapy room that honors the complexity of your experience.

My practice offers a confidential, boutique environment for self-discovery, healing, and intentional living.

My Clinical Philosophy

I see therapy as both practical and deeply personal. It is a space where driven, thoughtful people can slow down, be fully seen, and have honest conversations that lead to real, meaningful change. I bring together evidence-based techniques and a strong relational foundation, so that our work is both effective and inviting. Clients who work with me often say they feel supported but never coddled, and challenged without judgment.

My Specialties

I offer individual therapy for adults navigating:

  • Anxiety, perfectionism & chronic self-criticism

  • Trauma and PTSD, including military trauma and complex developmental trauma

  • Burnout & career transitions for professionals, entrepreneurs, and caregivers

  • Life changes, identity work & emotional resilience

  • Mood disorders & emotion dysregulation

My Approach

My work is grounded in evidence-based practices. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but mix in other treatments as needed such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies. I tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs of my clients, always prioritizing your values, and go through treatment planing with you to ensure it meets your goals!

Clients often describe my approach as both compassionate and direct. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel both safe yet challenged. My goal is to ensure you feel supported in making meaningful change.

I offer:

  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate demanding calendars

  • Confidential, secure telehealth sessions for clients in California

  • Thoughtful referrals when needed for psychiatry, nutrition, assessments and more

  • Therapy that values discretion, depth, and integrity

Background

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California, and have completed specialized training in trauma-focused therapy and third-wave behavioral interventions. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked in settings ranging from luxury residential treatment centers to Veterans Affairs medical centers, always with a focus on providing deeply attuned, individualized care.

In addition to my clinical work, I’ve conducted research on translating Positive Neuropsychology into practical interventions, ensuring that the work I do is not only empathic but also effective and rooted in current science.

Clinical Supervision

I am currently completing the final phase of postdoctoral clinical training at the West Lost Angeles VA. I have created this practice with the help of Kylie Kolb, LCSW, and am working with individual clients under her supervision. This ensures all services meet the highest standards of care and ethical practice as I work toward independent licensure in California.
